MAY 31ST, 2013 FISHING REPORT

• Lower Provo
The flows have come down to a safe level, it is still a little bit high but wadeable. Try using Sow Bugs, Caddis Nymphs, Stonefly Nymphs, and San Juan Worms. You might also find success throwing some streamers at this time.  
• Weber River
The Weber has been fishing pretty similar to the Provo. Try the same nymphs as you would on the Middle or Lower, such as; San Juan Worms, Tailwater Sow Bugs, Scuds, Stonefly Nymphs, and Caddis Nymphs. Dry fly fishing has been decent. An Elk Hair or E/C Caddis in an olive or brown #16 should do the trick.
• Strawberry Reservoir
The Cutthroat have moved out to deeper water. There are still some Rainbows around the shallows, for those who are fishing from the shore. The Soldier Creek side has been fishing a little better than the Strawberry side in deep water 50-60 ft. Powerbait, Marabou Jigs, Tube Jigs, and Lucky Craft Lures have all been working well. Purple streamers or leeches are also a good option.
• Green River
On the A Section, try using black or red Zebra Midges, Juju's, CDC Blue Wing Olive Emergers underneath. There have been sightings of Cicadas, so having a few in the box is a good idea as they will only increase in the next few weeks.
• Scofield Reservoir
Fishing well, mostly smaller fish. Dark colored flies and lures continue to be the most productive. The fish are starting to move out from the shores a bit, so fishing from a boat would help to target some of these deeper fish. Look for fish around steep drop-offs.
• Deer Creek
Fishing well. The best action has been west of the island. Jakes Spin-A-Lures or Powerbait are good options from the shore. We have also heard good reports from people trolling Flatfish or Pop Gear and a worm.
• Pelican
Bass and Bluegill are in the shallows, near the reeds. Look for pockets in the reeds and cast a chartreuse or purple wooley bugger in a size 10, if you want to throw topwater try very small poppers in white or black. If you want to throw gear try jigs, Senkos, or for topwater, poppers or small frogs.
• Middle Provo
The flow on the Middle has been staying pretty steady around 130 cfs. Nymph fishing has been good. San Juan Worms, Stonefly Nymphs, Baetis, and Caddis Nymphs are good options for this time of year. There are still traces of Blue Winged Olives around. It is possible to see a few fish rising to blue wings in the mid to late afternoon.
